The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Scriptures is the verbally inspired Word of God, His revelation to man, inerrant in the original writings and that it is therefore the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine, faith and life (2 Tim 3:16-17; II Peter 1: 19-21).
The Trinity of the Godhead
We believe in one God an infinite sovereign Spirit, the maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and exciting distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (I John 5:7; Matt 28:19-20).
God the Father
We believe in God the father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power, that He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers; and that He saves from eternal death and from hell all who comes to Him through Jesus Christ (Ps 147:5; John 17:11; John 3:16; Heb 11:6; Rom 5:8; I Tim 2:5).
The Son
We believe in the absolute Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; His eternal existence as God; co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit; His incarnation was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a Virgin Mary; His sinlessness; His vicarious death through the shedding of His blood as an atonement for the remission of our sins; His literal bodily resurrection from the dead; His ascension; His present high priestly ministry in heaven for believers; His persona; and return to earth. (I John 5:20; John 1:18; Heb 9:14; Isa 7:14; Matt 1:18-25; I Peter 2:22-24; Rom 3:21-25; Acts 1:9-11; 1Thess 4:16).
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, co-equal with the Father and the Son, and the same substance and nature; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; that He bears witness to the Truth that He is the Agent in the new Birth– He regenerates the sinner by the Word of God; that He baptizes all believers into the body of Christ; that He permanently indwells the believer; He guides every born again person, He is the efficient power for godly living, Christian service and spiritual worship; He also sanctifies, seals, endues, and helps believers (John 14:16-17;John 16:7-15;Eph 4:30).
Man, His Creation and Fall
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, totally depraved and for those who reach moral responsibility, become sinner in thought, word and deed, and that they must be born again to be accepted of God (Gen 1:26-27; Genesis 3; Rom 5:12-19).
The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit in a miraculous manner; born of Mary a Virgin, as no other man was ever born, or can ever be born of women, and that He is both the Son of God and God the Son. True God and true man (Gen 3:15; Isa 7:14; Matt 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; John 1:14 and also 1Tim 3:16).
The Death, Resurrection and Ascension of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and a substitution sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We believe that he arose bodily from the dead on the third day in the same body in which He suffered and died. We believe also that our Lord ascended into Heaven; that He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and is our High Priest and Divine advocate with the Father. We believe that by His finished work of the Cross and His unceasing ministry of intercession in Glory that Jesus Christ has procured for every believer Eternal (Salvation) Redemption, and Everlasting Life (1 Cor 15:3; Rom 5:9; I Cor 15:4; John 20:27; Mark 16:19; Heb 8:1, 7:25; I John 2:1; Heb 9:12; 5:9; John 3:16).
Salvation
We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth, the one dead in trespasses and in sins is made partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God; that the new creation is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, not by culture, not by character, nor by the will of man, but wholly and solely by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the gospel; that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life. We believe that repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit, that it is characterized by godly sorrow for sin as offensive to God and ruinous to the soul; and that true repentance is inseparably related to true faith. We believe that having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation and all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31; John 5:24; John 3:3; II Cor 8:7; I John 5:1; John 3: 6-7; Acts 16:30-33; II Peter 1:4; Rom 6:23; Eph 2:1; II Cor 5:19; Col 2;13; John 3;8; John 1:12-13; Gal 5:22; Eph 5:9, Luke 13:1-3; 15:7; Acts 8:22; Rom 2:4; II Cor 7:10; Acts 20:21; Phil 1:16; John 10:28-29; Rom 8:35-39; Jude 1).
The Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By ever increasing obedience to the Word of God, each believer should mature and progressively become more like Jesus. In the power of the Holy Spirit, each believer should live a holy life; not fulfill the lusts of the flesh or indulge in sinful practices; exercise his spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ; witness for Christ; be personally involved in making disciples to fulfill the great commission; perform good works and be a positive influence for the glory of God (Col 3:1-4, II Cor 6:14-17; Titus 2:14; I Peter 1:14-16; Col 1:13; Heb 10:1; 10:14; II Cor 7:1; 3:18; II Peter 3:18; Rom 6:1-14; Eph 1:15; 2:6; 1 Cor 6:19-20; Gal 5:16-23; Rom 6; 13; John 17:17; Heb 4:12; Eph 5:25-27).
The Local Church
We believe that the local New Testament Church is composed of regenerated, baptized believers, voluntarily united together for the purpose of worship, edification, observing the ordinances, fellowship, and service; that the true mission of the Church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men and the furtherance of the Gospel in the local community and unto the uttermost parts of the earth; (Acts 2:41-47; Rom 1:7; Col 1;2; I Cor 1:2; Acts 4:4; Heb 10:25; Acts 20:7; 11: 26; Phil 1:1; 1 Tim 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-8; Heb 13:7,17; I Peter 5:15; Acts 6:1-8; Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Eph 1:22-23; Col 1:18; Eph 5:23-26; Acts 15:1-27; 11:29-30; Acts 13:1-4;Phil 4:14-16; Acts 20:28-31; 1 Cor 5: 1-6; 11).
Ordinances
We believe that two ordinances are significant above any other that Christians are commanded to observe, namely Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. While recognizing that Baptism does not have saving merit, it is our conviction that after one is saved, water baptism is the next step in order to portray to the world the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our conviction that the Scriptural method of Water Baptism is immersion. We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper to commemorate His death till He comes. We further believe that Water Baptism by immersion is observed but once, and is a sign or identification, and is a testimony to newness of life, but the Lord’s Supper is commemorative and is to be observed as a memorial of the Broken Body and the Shed Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 6:4; Col 2:9-13; I Cor 11:23-33).
The Resurrection of the Dead
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believers in Christ at the rapture (1 Thes 4:16; 1 Cor 15:51-57), and of the unjust at the end of time (Rev 20: 11-15; John 5:28).
The Return of Christ
We believe in the Blessed Hope, the personal, pre-millennial, pretribulation, and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, which is known as the Rapture of the Church-this coming is in the air. We also believe in the personal, visible and glorious return of Christ to the earth with His saints at the end of the Great Tribulation. This phase of His coming is known as the Revelation of Jesus Christ. When he returns to earth with His saints, we believe that Jesus Christ will establish His millennial Kingdom and will reign for one thousand years (Titus 2:13; I Thes 4:13-17; John 14:3; Rev 19:11-21; Rev 20:1-6).
The eternal Estate of the Saved and the Lost
We believe in a Heaven and a Hell. Heaven, the place of eternal conscious joy for all who received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour; hell the place of eternal conscious punishment in the Lake of fire for all who reject Jesus Christ, and those dying in their sins (John 14:1-6; Ps 16:11; Phil 1: 21-23; Ps 9:17; John 8:24; II Thes 1:7-9; Rev 20:10-15).
The Personality of Satan
We believe that Satan is a personal being, a fallen angel, prince of demons, the god of this age, the adversary of Christ and all believers in Christ; and that His destiny is the Lake of Fire for eternal punishment (Ezch 28:1-19; Isa 14:12-15; II Cor 4:3-4; 1 Peter 5: 8; Rev 12: 9-10; Matt 25; 41; Rev 20:10).
